This meeting will consist of an informative session in which we will verify that you have the appropriate equipment to carry out the activity and in which we will give you a series of recommendations to finish the O Circuit in the Nevados without problems.

Day 1 - Acclimatization walk to La Argentina

Our adventure begins at 6:00 a.m. in Salento, Quindío where we will have a delicious breakfast and then take a vehicle that will take us to the Cocora Valley in a journey of approximately 25 minutes.

Once in the Cocora Valley we will begin our ascent to an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level. During this first tour, we will cross pastures, grasslands and hanging bridges until we reach the humid forest where the guide will choose the best place to have our lunch.

After a 10 km uphill walk that takes approximately 5 hours, we will arrive at La Argentina, a farm located at an altitude of 3,500 meters above sea level, where we will rest and have dinner.

Day 2 - Ascent to the páramo

We will begin our second day with a delicious country breakfast and a steep ascent to the parámo ecosystem. A place that will give us the opportunity to observe the Paramillo del Quindío and the Nevado del Tolima, it is one of the most privileged views of the Los Nevados National Natural Park.

This part of the route involves an area frequented by eagles and different animals in the area, so it is likely that we will see them along the way.

Later, we will ascend to the Quindío swamps, a scene composed of bright green colors and moss carpets that will adorn our journey.

We will respectfully approach the base of the imposing Paramillo del Quindio to see the remains of the snow that once inhabited this mountain. And from there, we will be able to appreciate the rock formations of volcanic origin that will make us feel like we are on another planet.

Finally, the guide will choose the best place to have our lunch and at the end, we will begin our journey along another path. We will arrive at the La Playa farm around 5:00 p.m., we will have dinner and rest after the more than 18 kilometers we traveled.

Day 3 - Páramo de Romerales and return to Salento

We will begin our last day with a delicious breakfast at 6:00 a.m. that will help us fill ourselves with energy to face the day.

We will walk a path that will take us to the Romerales páramo, on a 3 km journey that lasts one hour. A place that will give us the opportunity to appreciate an incredible view of the Nevado del Tolima and the Paramillo del Quindío (weather permitting).

Later, we will cross the mountain downhill until we reach the Estrella de Agua farm; A natural paradise where the wind will whisper in our ears, there we will take a short break to continue our descent.
