Day 1: 🚐 Meeting and departure
Our trip begins in Pereira, the guide and the driver will pick you up at 7 a.m. in a private 4x4 vehicle that will take us to the town of Florida where we will have breakfast on a trip of approximately 30 minutes.
🍳 Arrival in Florida and breakfast
Upon arriving in Florida you will be able to see large crops of onions and cilantro, we will recharge our energies with a delicious country breakfast in a local restaurant.
🚐 Arrival at the start of the trek
After having breakfast, we will take the vehicle again for 50 minutes until we reach Cedral, where we will have an informative talk and preparation to start the tour.
🚶♂️ Start of the trek to the La Pastora shelter
After receiving the guide's recommendations, you will begin the trek along the entire Otún River canyon to the La Pastora shelter, where you will be able to appreciate the characteristic flora and fauna of this incredible place, with technical stops to hydrate and at the same time the guide will surprise you with his environmental interpretation of the ecosystem.
💧 Arrival at the shelter and bed assignment
Upon arriving at the La Pastora shelter you will find different spaces that you can enjoy, the facilities have bathrooms, shared rooms, a living room with views of the mountain and one of the 3 waterfalls.
🥗 Rest and lunch
At the shelter you can take advantage of the opportunity to disconnect from electronic devices and enjoy the surroundings, read or meditate. After enjoying the spacious spaces of the shelter, we will delight ourselves with a delicious lunch and an incredible view.
⛰️ Start of the hike to Los Choros
After lunch we will take one of the internal trails of the reserve to visit 2 waterfalls, we can bathe in them or simply appreciate their beauty and then return to the shelter.
🍲 Rest and dinner
Again at the shelter you can shower, change and rest a little before dinner.
🔥 Campfire and free time
After a delicious and well-deserved dinner, we will relax in the living room of the shelter next to a campfire to tell stories, play or if you wish you can enjoy the starry sky.
Day 2: 🍳Breakfast at the shelter
When we wake up in the morning we will enjoy an energizing breakfast and prepare our backpack to check out and visit our third waterfall.
🚶♂️ Start of the trek to the third waterfall
After receiving instructions from the guide for our second day, we will visit our last attraction, one of the highest waterfalls in the region.
🚶♂️ Return to the starting point of the trek
After contemplating the beauty of the third waterfall, we will return to Cedral where our private vehicle will be waiting to take us to the meeting point.
🚐 Return to the meeting point
At the end of our trek, we will have the final reflections of our tour and thanks from the guide, and then return to our meeting point.
What physical condition do I need to be in?: To do this hike, you need to be in good physical condition. If you want to make the most of your trip, you should be able to walk distances of 5 km between climbs and descents.
Reservations and prepayment: To book this adventure you just have to choose the desired date and reserve with 50% of the total, the other 50% is usually paid one day before the start of the trek at the briefing. For the first and last payment, we accept cash, credit and debit cards.
Briefing: All briefings are held one day before the trip at your hotel. The meetings last approximately 30 to 45 minutes and we check that you have everything you need, we will answer your questions about the trek and you can additionally pay the remaining 50%.
Pick-up: All pick-ups are done within the city of Pereira, but we recommend you book a hotel as central as possible and with a good location. If you are staying in an area far from the city center, you will have to pay an additional charge for the pick-up. Our staff will confirm the pick-up time with you one day before the tour.
Where can I store my main luggage?: During the trip, you can store your main luggage free of charge in our storage room. You can also safely store any equipment that you will not need for the tour at your hotel. Almost all hotels offer this service.
